Career Coaching

I believe everyone can find work that they genuinely love doing.

When I was making education and career decisions, I was ambitious, yet I more or less went with the flow. Looking back, I wish I had had a thought partner to help me think through what I really wanted and how to get there. I aim to be that person for my clients.

Together, we can explore what sort of work brings you joy and what drains you. We will then work on your plan to get you where you want to go.

Leadership Coaching

Someone once told me: as a leader, you have to do work with other people’s hands.

More often than not, successful individual contributors get promoted to leadership positions because they excel in their craft. Yet leading people is a whole other ballgame. I help new managers become strong leaders whom people want to work for.

Professional Confidence

So often, coaching work comes down to working on your confidence.

Have you ever heard those inner critical voices in your head that prevented you from going after the things you want? I know I have.

Together, we can start noticing those inner critical voices and practice differentiating them from your true voice, so you can go after the things you want.

FAQs

  • Coaching is a thought-provoking process during which the coach asks powerful questions to help the coachee go beyond current thinking, come to actionable insights, and take steps toward growth.

I aim to be your trusted thought partner, and, as such, our interactions are confidential. I adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics.

  • In mentoring, a more experienced professional typically shares their wisdom with the mentee. In coaching, we partner and focus on you finding your own path for growth. While I may share my experience at times, that is never the focus.

Therapy usually focuses on “fixing” and often looks backward—e.g., at past traumas. In coaching we think about opportunities for growth even if there is nothing to fix. We may use some information from the past, but we always focus on the present and the future.

Consulting usually involves an expert giving solutions. In coaching, you are the expert and the coach is your thought partner.

  • If you want to grow professionally, but you are not quite sure how, reach out. Let’s figure out if what I can offer may be useful for you.

  • I offer a free 30-minute introductory call. In this call, we get to know each other a little bit, we explore your goals, and see if I can help you achieve them.

After that, if we find we are a great match, I usually recommend starting with a package of 10 sessions, scheduled weekly or biweekly. Because coaching is about change, this rhythm gives space for meaningful evolution to unfold over time.

At the same time, I believe in tailoring the process to your needs whenever possible. Let’s connect to explore what would work best for you.
